  • Remember to include your website in all offline marketing.
  • Use pay per click advertising (such as Google AdWords.)
  • Get high website ranking with search engines (you can appear in free searches if your content is relevant.)
  • Have your own on-line affiliate program (easy to use software can do this for you.)
  • Consider joint ventures (use another company’s lists, provide 2-way links.)
  • Create e-zines, articles or client e-mail updates.

Ideal products for selling on line are information products such as:

  • e-books
  • CDs
  • Software
  • Subscriptions
  • Cable
  • TV
  • E-bay

Remember, successful businesses test the market first. What do people want to know or need? You don’t have to be an expert in a particular field, just provide the information.
For example, research found that one of the most popular searches on the net was for chicken recipes!

  • Use Ad Words or get the highest search ranking
  • Give information away for free in exchange for 10,000 e-mail addresses, and then offer a pay product (such as a $20 e-book.) Even if only 2% take up the offer, you have made $4,000.

An AdWords Campaign

Go to Google and click on “Advertising programs.”
You can set a budget for the month and a maximum cost per click.
Don’t forget to test and measure!
Regularly review which keywords are generating traffic. You can have as many keywords as you want but if there is no click-through they will be disabled. (Take a look at clickbank-searchengine.com to see what the market is looking for.)
Using quote marks and brackets on certain keywords will cover misspellings, exact matches etc.
Also use the overture search engine tool to see who is searching for which word.
The more people that link to you (and you to them) the higher you will rank. In other words, the more you give out, the more you get back.
The more articles you have, and regularly update, the better.
Use a service such as prweb.com for press releases.

Another idea is to compile an e-zine into an e-book and on-sell it. Choose a website that you’re interested in and can subscribe to newsletters for and ask the owners if you can create an e-book. (This has a higher perceived value.) Use Microsoft Word to improve the format. Don’t copy things exactly, but “model” the information and headlines / AdWords. You can then promote the e-book for money or to generate contacts and e-mail addresses. (This is not spamming, it’s an “opt in” list.) Put your name and country in the subject line so that your mails are more likely to be read.
